Werner Geissler Takes New Role at P&G

Steps up to advise CEO in streamlining business operations.

Procter & Gamble has announced that Werner Geissler will take on a new position starting in July, transitioning from his current role as vice chairman of global operations. He will now serve as vice chairman and adviser to A.G. Lafley, P&G’s chairman and chief executive officer.

Geissler has been tagged to lead the reorganization of the powerhouse consumer goods company’s global operations, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. He also will support the transition of P&G’s selling and market operations involving units for Europe, Asia and India, the Middle East and Africa.

No announcement has been made as to a replacement for Geissler as vice chairman of global operations.
